What is StudentDNA™

StudentDNA™ is a group of learning technologies, used within a computerized educational environment, profiling the individual student’s learning preferences and learning behaviors, it then predicts the best combination of learning modalities using digital learning objects such as text, sound, video and action steps, that provides a unique learning experience for each student. The benefit of StudentDNA is an improved ability to retain and recall information and measuring the improvement through assessments.

 

StudentDNA™ profiles important learner selections or attributes of learning:

  • Devices – Any where, anytime learning on any device. Learners use laptops, tablets and mobile devices such as iPhone, iTouch and Droid.

  • Connection – Mobile connection and or WIFI connection.

  • Sessions – Each session is scored based on the amount of time the learner is active  in the system and the completion of topics  and assessments

  • Collaboration - Learners joins relevant groups with mentored, facilitated instructors and other learners,  or engage in self-study sessions.

  • Media Preferences - Learner preferences are recorded such as media type (video, audio, text , images), Each learner makes decisions about the type and or style of related media content that works best for them. This selection can be based on author, social rating or other personal preferences.

  • Measurement - Assessments of performance improvements provide measurement data.

  • Suggested Content - Based on the learning sessions, StudentDNA measures what content is selected by the learner and will continue to provide social rated content that shows higher levels of improvement in quiz and exam scores and group participation scores.
